Robo Mosaic · Datenschutz

Stand: 10. Oktober 2026

Verantwortlicher und Kontakt

Verantwortlich für die App Robo Mosaic und diese Website ist Leopold Endres, Bavariastraße 26, 80336 München, Deutschland. E-Mail: leopold@webblick-agentur.de

Lokaler Spielstand

Anonyme Level-Statistiken (ohne Kennung)

App-Store-Statistiken

English summary

Controller: Leopold Endres, Bavariastraße 26, 80336 Munich, Germany, e-mail leopold@webblick-agentur.de. Progress, settings, coins, hearts, boosters, album, workshop and the daily streak are saved locally without a player account or cloud synchronization; a small local diagnostic log (at most 64 KB) never leaves the device.

Game statistics are off by default. After you first finish level 1 the app asks once, at the start of level 2 (only in versions with game statistics set up; otherwise it shows neither the question nor the switch), "Help us make Robo Mosaic better?", with two equal answers ("Yes, gladly" / "No, thanks"), nothing pre-selected and the note "Under 16? Please ask a parent."; it never asks again, and you can change your choice any time under "Share game statistics" in the settings. Only with your consent does the app send pseudonymous gameplay events: your consent, first start, session start (with your stars, win and daily streaks, your sound, music, haptics and color assist settings and the device's graphics tier) and end with play time, tutorial steps, level start/complete/fail/restart/skip (level, world and slot, difficulty, mode, level kind and shape, docks, mechanics, attempt number, earlier losses, hearts, moves, stars, helpers, coins and whether they were doubled, streak, longest combo, progress, dock use, the reason of a loss, time to the first move, duration), the free oops undo (level, mode, attempt, moves, the milliseconds since the tap it takes back and the combo coins it takes back), finishing the campaign (the first win of the last level, with your campaign and Puzzle Lab stars and the days since install), that the app asked Apple to show the App Store's rating prompt (with the level and the occasion, level 20 or a boss level; the app never learns whether Apple showed it or what you answered), booster and pre-level helper use, the free helper after several losses, the extra-dock Continue, coins earned and spent, hearts lost, run out and refilled, unlimited hearts, star chests, rewarded video and break ad offers, starts, failures, rewards and the ad revenue AdMob reports per ad, why a wanted video or a due break ad did not show (for example not loaded yet, no ad consent yet, the pause since the last ad or a daily limit) with the level, at most once per session technical health (how the save loaded, for example from the backup, how many milliseconds the sounds took to prepare and whether they had to be computed anew, whether ads are ready and the status of Google's ad consent, for example "required" or "obtained" but never your individual choices, the frame rate, the graphics tier and whether "Reduce motion" is on), daily puzzle, album, workshop, Puzzle Lab, crew looks, photo mosaics (style and color count only, never the photo), which parts of the app you open (for a helper's buy sheet in a level also which helper and whether your coins covered it) and settings changes. They come with a random install id, a random session id, the session and event numbers, time, app version, operating system and version, device model, device type, whether it is a test build, language and level version, but no advertising id, no vendor device id, no name, no contact details and no free text. PostHog keeps a pseudonymous profile for the install id (language, app version, highest level, coins, first app version and first-seen date). The purpose is balancing, improving the tutorial and measuring retention.

Recipient: PostHog (PostHog Inc., a US company) as our processor under a data processing agreement, with the data stored in PostHog Cloud EU on Amazon Web Services servers in Frankfurt, Germany; access from the US (for example for support and maintenance) cannot be ruled out, and PostHog is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision, Art. 45 GDPR), with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in the agreement as well (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). Your IP address is transmitted for technical reasons but PostHog is configured not to store it, and no location is derived from it. Events are kept for at most 13 months; the legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG), which you can withdraw any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). Turning the setting off stops sending, discards unsent events and deletes the install id and its session counter (every launch with the setting off deletes a leftover id too); turning it on again creates a new, unlinked id. Children under 16 should turn it on only together with a parent, since under Art. 8 GDPR their consent in Germany needs a parent's approval.

Anonymous level statistics (from app version 1.1.1): at the end of every level attempt (won, failed, restarted or left), in every mode and also without your consent to game statistics, the app sends one anonymous row: the level, the mode (campaign, daily puzzle, Puzzle Lab or photo mosaic), the result (win, fail or quit), the reason of a fail (stuck or exploded), whether it was your first attempt at the level, the duration and the number of helpers in rough ranges, whether you continued with an extra dock, the app version, the level version and whether it is a test build, with the time rounded down to the full hour (UTC). It carries no install or session id, no event number, no device model, no operating system, no language and no coins, stars or streaks: every row has the same id "anonymous" and a random event id, and PostHog keeps no profile for it. Nothing is stored on your device for it (the rows wait in memory until they are sent, at the latest when the app goes to the background; rows lost on the way stay lost), only "first attempt at this level" is read from your save, and offline the app sends nothing. The purpose is balancing the levels for all players, not only those who share game statistics; the recipient, location and retention are the same as above, your IP address reaches PostHog in transit for technical reasons and is not stored, no location is derived from it, and the legal basis is our legitimate interest in balancing the levels fairly (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). As the rows carry no identifier we cannot link them to a person or find or delete single rows (Art. 11 GDPR); you can object any time via the contact above.

The iOS version uses Google AdMob and UMP, which may process device, advertising, interaction and diagnostic data according to configuration and consent; where Google's consent message is needed (for example in the EEA and the UK) it appears at the start of level 3, never together with the game statistics question, and the app requests no ads before you answer it; ads are capped at content rating G, rewarded videos (an extra dock, a heart or double coins) are always optional, and from level 16, never in the first session, an occasional break ad plays between two levels (at most every third win, never after a loss, a boss, a puzzle box, the Puzzle Lab or double coins). Where Google provides ad privacy choices (for example in the EEA and the UK), "Ad privacy" in the settings reopens them. The game remains playable offline. The ad provider for the EEA is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, which is its own controller for parts of the processing under Google's controller terms. Personalized ads and storing or reading information on your device rely on your consent in Google's consent message (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG); non-personalized or limited ads and ad fraud prevention, as far as no consent is needed, rely on our legitimate interest in financing the free game (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Google may transfer data to the US (Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). During beta tests via TestFlight, Apple also gives the provider crash reports, usage statistics and the feedback you send yourself; Apple's TestFlight privacy notice applies.

This website is hosted on a server the provider rents from Contabo GmbH, Aschauer Straße 32a, 81549 Munich, as our processor; the web server keeps access logs (IP address, time, requested address, status, bytes, referrer and browser) and error logs for operation and security only, based on our legitimate interest in running the site securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and deletes them after 14 days at the latest unless they are needed to investigate an attack. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics, trackers or third-party content.

Your rights: access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21), in particular to processing based on legitimate interest, withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)) and a complaint to a supervisory authority (Art. 77), for example the one responsible for the provider: Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de. As game statistics are pseudonymous, we usually cannot link them to a person; turning the setting off deletes the install id on your device. There is no automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. You are not obliged to provide any data; without consent the game stays fully playable.
